so close

she can touch you

her voice

a breeze that plays

a dancing zephyr

that soars like an eagle

& roars like rolling thunder

tumbling like seaweed

up against the currents

drifting against the tides

funny as a clownfish

enough to burst your sides

bubbles, gurgles & floats

gorgeous inside & out

that’s about it

all she’s got

oh alright

sometimes late at nite

she finds herself

impersonating nemo

with an irish accent

go figure

that infectious smile

surfing its way though life

almost viral

on a still headland

there’s a swirling sky

& faraway notions

& oceans & oceans

of gentle smiles within

in blissful union

as waves caress

the shoreline to your soul

resonating like bullshit conversation

that glows in the dark

& sparkling stars that wash up

unexpectedly on the sand

I have known Jay for lifetimes – yet we only met in mid 2008!   She is inspiration and motivation on wheels with a V8 under the hood!  Jay has helped me to let the real and true me out, she has inspired me to reach for my purpose, grab it by the horns and take charge! As my Anam Cara (Soul Friend), Jay has often been my mirror, she has encouraged me to reflect inwards and address the beliefs that hold me back, more often though she is simply my dearest companion on the path of life.

NOW Jay has taken the leap and hit the ground running bringing her dream to life with Inner Adventures. The purpose and dream that always has been alive in her…the importance of community, connecting and keeping it simple.  A precious moment it is indeed  when a person steps into their own – Congratulations and Thank You Bliss Bla!

Throughout my journey I have met some truly remarkable people that have helped me in more ways than I could think of. I have some amazing friends. Each person that comes into our lives is there for a reason and whether or not they stay for long is dependent on what they are there to teach us or us to teach them.

My journey has probably been the hardest in the last couple of years as well as the most empowering and life transforming. I am now moving with the flow of life, appreciating every moment and loving each and every person that blesses my path.

One person that I have crossed paths with is Jay Del Ray. She is  a truly amazing lady who has helped me immensely in the last 12 months.

Jay and I have walked fairly similar paths throughout life and experienced many of the same trials and tribulations.

We met over twelve months ago due to a business that we were both involved in.  From the moment I spoke to Jay we seemed to click, we have a very similar belief system and share the same moral values.

Jay is someone that truly wants to help people and make a difference in the world.  Life is full of bumps and turns and we are each in search of our purpose. Jay wants to help people to find the tools that will guide each person on their own particular journey without having to go through the minefield of money grabbing guru’s and so called experts. She is showing you that you do not have to break the bank to find inner peace.

Inner Adventures is a place for like minded people to share stories and talents and help others to find themselves. A place full of genuine down to earth people that just want to make a difference.

I first met Jay in February 2009 when I entered my personal development journey, and although it took us about 6 months to meet (after speaking weekly on conference calls) I felt like I already knew her. Her infectious attitude, laughter and knowledge had me wanting to know everything about this amazing lady from day one. Jay has been an inspiration in my life and I feel privileged to be  her friend!

Jay has been a huge influence in my life since meeting her three years ago.  She is the one who gave me the confidence to follow my dreams, who encouraged me to step out and admit I was clairvoyant!  Through Jay I have met some amazing people who have also helped me on my journey and through all of this, I truly believe that everything that happens, happens for a reason and everyone we meet, we meet for a reason. I know without a doubt that the reason I met Jay was her ability to give me confidence and to spread my wings.

When I first met Jay I was intrigued by the smooth ‘candiness’ of her voice…cheeky, fun, vital yet incredibly soothing. Even though she may not consciously practice as a healer, the vibration of her voice has the tendency to entrain positivity, fun and sincerity in the hearts of others. Jay is probably my exact opposite, personality wise: gregarious and fearless, so I love the fact that these qualities are developing in me from having known her. I feel safe with Jay, I know her intention for Inner Adventures is coming from a place of integrity and self awareness rather than ego (just getting her name and face on the internet). So sharing her playful spirit  in this way is bringing like minded people together all over the world, and offering us easily accessible alternatives for healing and wellbeing. This is a good and beautiful thing,  a creative gift for us all.

I initially meet Jay over the phone, a more unusual place to meet I know, however I felt an immediate love and strong drawing to the woman!  We meet when we all were attracted to the same place at the same time – an internet home business. Even though we are no longer involved with that business, unknown to us at the time it was to change us forever.

She was such a large part of my life during the time when I was experiencing the biggest changes of my life. In my complete naivety, Jay, in her loving knowingness, took me by the hand and without prejudice showed me some of the ropes of the real world.  She blows me away with her passion and wit, and the wonderful capacity to laugh at her own mistakes!

JAY’S GIFT TO YOU

Over the last 20 years I have travelled a long and varied inner journey, spending thousands of dollars on personal and spiritual development courses and programs.  These have all been very beneficial at some level however what I came to experience after the hype and initial euphoria of attending these events had subsided, nothing had greatly changed in my outer world, meaning nothing had shifted greatly within.  I have since come to realise that it has been largely through connecting with others (my mirrors) that I have experienced the most profound and lasting inner transformation.  The point I’m making here is that I do not believe it is necessary to spend a lot of money on finding out who you are!

Inner Adventures was born out of a desire to share the gifts and talents of those who play a role in assisting individuals on their life’s journey.  It is my hope that by sharing their lives with you, and how they came to do what they do, that they may inspire you to take a leap into the unknown and experience your own inner adventure and create the life you were born to live.

What are you here to contribute?

I believe I am here to connect people to each other through community, creativity and purpose. To inspire and ignite the flame living within each and everyone.  To encourage people to take risks and follow their heart and instincts.

What are you about and what makes you light up and come alive?

I am a born communicator!  I love talking, writing – expressing myself anyway I can.  I LOVE meeting people and hearing about their lives and what makes them tick, their highs and their lows – anything and everything – that seriously gives me a buzz!  I enjoy experiencing new adventures, life is just full of these amazing opportunities, I only wish there were more of me so I could do it all!  Life makes me light up and come alive : )

What have you always known the most about and been interested in forever?  Is there just one thing, or are there several?

There are several.  I have always loved writing and have been a journal writer since the age of 14.  I loved English and Art at school, oh and socialising – that was about it.  I am very passionate about music, in particular singing, the desire to sing never seems to leave me.  The first time I got on stage was when I was 3, I think I was born to perform.  I have always been fascinated with spirituality, philosophy, metaphysics, I have a thirst for knowledge in these areas and I’m driven to know more and go deeper and deeper.

What would you bring to a community if it was your sole job to perform and no one could perform it but you?

I would probably like to be the person that uplifts, inspires and makes people laugh.  I have a lot of energy to burn so I would be the one getting people off their bums and doing something.  I would encourage people to speak their truth, to be authentic.  I would entertain the troops and be the one that makes people smile.  I love having a good laugh – it’s like food for the soul!

What are you continually asked to do?

Be quiet!  No seriously, I would say it is to help people get back on their path of purpose.  I seem to be the one who gets people thinking about where they want to take their life and I connect them to those who can make that happen – that’s pretty much how Inner Adventures came about. It’s what comes naturally to me.

What do people see in you, when indeed they see you?  If you’re not sure of this one, ask one of your dear friends.

Energy, vibrancy, passion and enthusiasm – a beautiful soul! (I used my “phone a friend” option for this one!)
